McKinley Street is among Phoenix 's oldest streets. Located in the Roosevelt Historic District, it has retained its iconic character throughout the years. This area was founded in the 1860’s and was mostly developed between 1890-1930. A walk through the neighborhood will take you back in time. It is characterized by deep lots and front porches, where friends, family, and neighbors would gather. Situated in the heart of the city, it has become the hub of a half-dozen cultural hotspots in greater downtown.
